Selling my e60 M5. I have no idea what it's worth, so starting it based on the only estimate I was given here:

For those that have been around for a while, this was Vodyk's car. He was a close real life friend of mine.

He died 12 years ago, and his parents kept the car. A couple of years ago they needed to sell it and asked if I wanted to take it over. I did.

The bad:

The 6mt is a swap-- but was done with all factory parts, and you'd never know when driving the car.

The broken:
-One of the angel eyes is out, and I unplugged the other. I never bothered looking into it as I hate angel eyes in general, so would have them unplugged even if they worked.
-I had it in for state inspection last month (which it passed), and they mentioned that one of the KW shocks shows signs of leaking a little. I haven't investigated it at all, but seemingly that is a thing.

I wanted to chime in on this thread to give a huge positive experience reference for Obioban. Purchased his M3 Wagon a few years ago now to compliment my coupe (mainly to fly fish and bomb roads on the way there and back) & the car has been nothing but fantastic. Most of you who have been in the community for the last 20 years know, definitively, if you buy one of his cars, you won’t find one better cared for/maintained/respected. Period, mic drop etc etc

I have

1. Bought a car from Obioban;
2. Had friends buy from him and with his help; and
3. Seen this car in person.

Based on those experiences, I'm here to vouch for both Obioban and this car 100%.

When I bought my old E36 M3 from him, he made sure I knew everything I might ever need to know about that particular car before the money traded hands. The car had been completely gone over; all the important trouble spots and everything affecting the driving experience had been addressed, and he was completely upfront about the few shortcomings that remained. Zero surprises, other than how much that car changed my perceptions about what a car should be.

As far as I know, everyone who's bought a car from him has had the same experience. And anyone who knows him knows this is just how he rolls. There's no one on earth from whom I'd rather buy a car.

And if I were buying an E60 M5, I'd want it like this: all expensive and important failure modes recently addressed, rigorously and intelligently maintained, tastefully modded, and with the few remaining problems out in the open.

If you want an E60 M5 6MT to drive, want it done right, and want to know what you're getting into, you'll likely never get a better chance.
