Agree with the above, E39/E46 M cars are untoucheable in the design department. E60/E9X M cars are tolerable and still easy on the eyes, they have grown on me a lot. F80 M3 CS is a perfect looking as well, unlike the M4. the new M3/M4 are a complete disaster.... but its all good though because we have 10 BMW X models to choose from depending on how small or big your penis is.

In fact, these models are more interesting used cars on the market right now. Everything else looks generic and identical to each other.

Most of these models aged well, and majority of the 35-45 year-olds will tell you that they are not bad looking cars. And this is what BMW target market with those cars, not boy racers wannabes with no money, but well-off folks able to shell $85K+ on a toy.
I'm just not a BMW fanboy. The 911s from that time looked beautiful. The 997 was a huge design step forward. The 987s looked awesome too. Mercedes made some decent looking cars then. Audi's looked good. Lexus made some of their best looking cars then. You don't have to be 35-45 to like cars of that time. The BMWs were just the ugliest until now with the Bucktooth Billy look they're trying to land.

Umm, ok, so how many of those did you buy brand new?

PS: Lexus never in the history of the brand made a good looking car, like EVER.

I think the E60 looks ok now but nothing will ever beat E39/E46. Since I've gotten an E60 M5, the look has grown on me. LCI E9x is the best looking of the Bangle era.

The best looking BMW of the "Bangle" era is Z4 M Coupe, hands down, followed by the brutish E63.

Just got this email from BMW. They are using activists to represent them. It's a huge disappointment. They describe the new 4 series as "edgy". The goal is just to be progressive. BMW has lost its way. This confirms what I was thinking.

BMW knows they have fuked up pretty bad. they're paying thousands and thousands of dollars to these youtubers to sell us this "heritage" and "vertical grill history" BS and no one gives a damn. prime example:

Yeah it's pretty gross. I will never be buying a G series unless it's for parts. They got rid of the M bump too. Overall sale have been declining since the E46, which was the best selling 3 series. E90s sold less and the F series, even with the 4 series added in, sold even less. It sucks because they actually included a 6 speed. VW or Fiat will probably buy them soon.

                          How do I say this...

It’s starting to grow on me :/

Once you come to peace that BMW will never be the same. You can learn to appreciate their new stuff. Whatever 🤷🏻‍♂️

This thing better put down some sick lap times because it makes my eyes hurt. It reminds of the GT models thing they did. This will never grow on me until the aftermarket can fix that bumper.

Nope. Hideous things are hideous, regardless of the product, brand, or time. I currently own 6 M-cars, 2 other BMWs, had 20+ Ms and regular BMWs from different eras in the past - and I bought all of them not only because I liked the way they drove, but because I also liked how they looked. New design language will be the end of me buying new BMWs, and I'm not the only one. Whether BMW can afford to loose their long-time core customers, chasing Asian markets with idiotic designs is yet to be seen. Sales of new BMWs are down 15.3% in Q1, 39.3 decrease in Q2, and again down 16.2% in Q3. Ding-ding-ding.
