Haven't done much on the car lately other than enjoy it.

I did recently acquire Bry5on 's Mullet tune and have nothing but positive words to say about it. The car idles smoother than ever and has plenty of low-end torque. It feels far more refined, as if the tune were straight from BMW.

Car is finished up now, headliner and rails back in.






Also for those waiting for the E88 center cap adaptor. I have made another version and testing that currently. I wasn't 100% happy with my previous design.

It has been basically a year since I got the Karbonius roof but I finally decided to just do it.

Had a local Auto glass installer come by to uninstall the windshields.



Drilling out the spot welds was tedious but wasn't all that hard after I got a proper spot weld drill. Definitely recommend the Blair bits over anything else.




I ended up just riveting the cross brace in.


Used some 3M panel bond and a metric ton of cheap Amazon clamps to hold it all down. Finished it with some Sikaflex on the edges.



OE slicktop sound insulation stuck on.


DNA Auto Glass came by again today to install a new infrared windshield and reinstall the original rear.



Just need to have the rails painted black and the new headliner installed and it should be all done. Just want to make sure the roof is water proof before all that goes in.

Yeah it's an attractive option for a DIY kinda guy who isn't a welder like myself haha - did you end up paying the area after? If so, I would love to see the finished product if you have photos

I ended up painting it in POR15, I don't have any finished pictures unfortunately.

Were you happy with how the epoxy came out for the sway bar reinforcements?

Still haven't done the Karb roof yet but have done a couple other mods in the past few months.

Tried out the PS reservoir expansion kit that the E9x guys seem to like. Tested it out on my E34 first and it seems to work so I threw one on the M3 as well.



Reinforced the sway bar mounts for a Ground control bar. (Edit: Didn't fit with Rally Road 996 Brembo lines. Touches the brake line elbow on lock)


Painted in POR15 after*




Decided to try out @Bry5on 's SSv1 brace, not sure if it made a difference yet but will know whenever I drive the car next (Edit: Brace definitely works)



Also, Dinan throttle bodies.
