Do 034 engine mounts with RE trans mounts should solve most of the drive train movements. The 034 mounts is most OE like (in terms of NVH) but with less slops. I loved the VT mounts, but it does transmit some (although minor) NVH on this stiff chassis during idle. The 034 sits somewhere between the OE and VT. If you want a smoother 1-2 shift, Royal Purple SYNCHROMAX does wonders for this transmission.

What I know from seat time in a Z4M Coupe:

    RPI exhaust is awesome

That ZF gearbox isn't the best, I'd recco an AS SSK in there with some RE trans mounts

    No subframe issues lol
Definitely will be doing RE trans mounts and new motor mounts. But those RPI exhaust tips… no thanks !

no subframe issues was definitely one of the reasons I pursued this chassis. The S54 bullet proofing does not bother me.

So on the way home when I bought the car a diesel dodge ram and a couple tesla SUVs were messing with me driving on my butt or cutting me off.... I brushed it off....

but then yesterday I went to walmart to pick up some oil for my daily and parked in a corner in a HUGE parking lot. Come back to see the walmart truck driver dropped off his trailer right behind me to block me... even though he could have pulled it forward another 3 feet or simply parked in 10 other wide open places..... I did not think an old little red BMW would make adults act like a little kids !

Yes, I have cruise control. I thought all Z4M had cruise control?
Those are the fun engines lol ! One of the reasons I got this car is because the bearings were just changed.

I do not have cruise control on mine. But I guess it can be retrofitted.

Do either of you have cruise control? That may be something I would need to retrofit !
Hi, agree is a bit too loud. Yes, i have cruise control but it does not work, unfortunately on the Z4M DME, Alpha-N disables CC.

    2. Remus with SS X Pipe and Euro Headers and DFK 300 cell cats. It was too loud, to the point I moved on in two days
    3. Remus with OE X Pipe and Euro Headers and DFK 300 cell cats. It is still loud, to the point where it can overcome the CSL airbox (Current setup)
    4. Stock Mufflers with SS X Pipe and Euro Headers and DFK 300 cell cats. This was in my opinion the best, quite, but with character, and would allow the full CSL airbox experience

The only reason why I don't move to set up 4 is because I was stupid enough to sell both X pipes, the RE and SS, now they are too expensive so just stick with what I have, or install the OE mufflers back on

Bear in mind that you're also sitting a lot closer to the mufflers in the MC than you do in the M3 - you're essentially sitting in the backseat of your E46!

Yes I saw that thread. The eisenmann looks really nice. I am considering that one or SS sport as well. I don't think I want a super loud exhaust. I have ran catless headers with a race exhaust before and it was brutal on my E46. I just want something a little more loud and throw a CSL style airbox on it for some induction noise. Stromung has really good reviews but the muffler housing is really smaller and all you see are the tips.
