Rear seat sound insulation part number
Hi all, Hoping to crowd-source some knowledge here. I've pulled up the butyl-type sound deadening under the rear seat as it was all broken up as I understand happens. The part number on what I removed is 51488204055 however when I check on realoem and on schmiedmann they both indicate that that part number didn't come on my

Functionally, what’s the difference between the M vs non-M insulation?

Ultimately decided to go with a light tan as the primary with black Alcantara inserts and trim. Very happy with the result! Also went with the only proper seats for this car, Recaro Sportsters.

I used the same front seat mounting solution as Rosso, Brey-Krause adapters with OE electric sliders using E30 front/back switch.

On to the exterior trim. I had the finisher rails painted gloss black to match the Shadow Line high gloss black trim on the doors and vent window. That trim is getting hard to source, I ordered from Schmiedmann and it tool 4 months... With the rails off I also installed new seals for the vent windows. Also new window and door seals sourced from Schmiedmann.

For the interior I started with the doors. Such a pain in the a$$.... Took for ever to get the glass re-installed and after getting it all back together the passenger door lock was acting up. So decided to just bite the bullet and replace the lock actuator. Then got the vapor barriers with fresh butyl installed.

With the drive train back in and running I moved on to the exhaust and bumpers. For muffler I went with the @rogueengineering Diablo Caliente section 3. Work of art! Bummer it's hidden under the diffuser. The Diablo is attached to the @supersprint_official 63.5mm catted section 1 and resonated section 2. Will be interesting to see how well this balances with the CSL intake noise.

Long overdue update! Been cranking away on this build and made a ton of progress. With the motor back in and basic programming done I gave the engine a quick test fire. Success!

After the successful first test fire I got the refinished Evolve airbox with matching valve cover installed along with the Turner Motorsports IAT conversion able that plugs unto the old MAF plug.

Installed a new radiator overflow tank and decided to retain the SAP. Also replaced the windshield cowl and all of the various hood seals.
