Update: 8/15/20

New BMW windshield sunshade
Restored matte finish to steering wheel (removed shine)
New front cup holders. (BMW sucks at cupholders)
New UK air freshener
Recharged AC
New Bosch wipers
New floor lights and bulbs (got the remaining 3)
New fan clutch
Applied spray adhesive and painted fabric on rear pillars
Bleed cooling system

What a difference. Needs more low now.

New 17.5mm ECS Tuning spacers front
New 12.5mm ECS Tuning spacers rear
New extended bolts all around
New updated BMW center caps
New BMW valve stem caps
Quick cleaning of inner wheel barrels
Inspected wheels, tires, rotors, and pads.

Tires are fresh Michelin PSS with a ton of tread. Cross drilled/slotted rotors and pads with lots of life. Wheels are in decent shape.

Knocked some easy items out of the way.

New hood emblem
New air filter
New cabin air filters
New OEM all weather floor mats
Added fuel injector cleaner
Replaced broken floor light cover and bulb
Replaced broken rear cup holders
Resealed pass rear vapor barrier
Vacuumed interior
Cleaned windows interior/exterior
Replaced missing trunk lid clips
Vacuumed air boxes for leaves and debris

First wash/rough engine detail. Already looking better.

Wheels are in decent shape. I may refinish them later.

It came with my go to tire Michelin PSS and crossed drilled/slotted rotors.

Haven't had the chance to do anything other than remove some stickers, the front plate frame, and run her through a wash. Trying to figure out all the issues and fix them. Plus give her a good cleaning inside and out.

When Covid hit and we went into quarantine I came up on some free time I did not have before. I also began driving my E46 M3 daily. I'd been itching for another project car and no time was better than the present. I did not have a specific car in mind so I just began looking.

Fast forward I found a 2003 E39 540i M Sport that was clean but not perfect and had some issues. I saw potential and decided to take on the project.

I'll update as I go.
