For sale is a 2002 BMW 325iT that has gone through a full E46 M3 conversion; S54B32, 6MT, differential, driveshaft, brake components, steering rack, suspension components, fuel lines, gauge cluster (coded), DME, engine wiring harness, misc engine bay components, interior bits, etc.
The swap was professionally performed by Kevin ("kaiv") in San Diego, CA. I have owned several E46 M3 platforms in the past and this wagon is well sorted, handles great and will not disappoint. You get the cool factor, cargo room to comfortably take your family on weekend outings AND underneath it all is an E46 M3. If you’re looking for a “sleeper” that you can enjoy with the family and occasional HPDE events, then this is the wagon for you!
The exterior and interior does have a good amount of flaws. However, they are all things that can be fixed. I just want to be as honest as possible for the new owner. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or patience to fix them. Instead, the asking price has been adjusted accordingly. Please see below for the full disclosure. Detailed photos can be found in the link below.
- Paint is original, and still shines. Needs good clay and detail.
- Rock chips on the hood, front fenders and driver side windshield sill. Can be fixed by filling with touch-up paint.
- All four door handles need to be sanded down and repainted.
- Slight tear on the bottom section of the weather strips; passenger front and passenger rear
- Driver side weather strip adhestive is worn. Can be glued down or replaced with new.
- Noticeable scratches and small dent on driver side door sill
- Noticeable scratches on rear driver side door near the side molding
- Crack on passenger side corner lens.
- Small crack on the windshield. Not spreading.
- Windshield rubber seals need to be replaced. Not leaking, just old.
- Headliner has started to sag in the rear (no photo)
- Front seats could use leather rejuvenation to bring them back to life
Now for the fun part. Please see below for a full list of parts that were replaced/overhauled during the swap.
