I’m selling my 2003.5 M3 coupe with a factory 6 speed manual transmission. Silvergrey over black leather interior. It has a clean California title and is currently on non-op so to register it in CA it will need to be smogged. It has ~136,700 miles. It has freshly refinished 18” wheels and brushed aluminum interior trim. The HK system has upgraded front and rear speakers. The sunroof is inoperable but have sourced a replacement that will come with the car.
It has had oil changes regularly with black stone reports.
Additional maintenance is:
Fan clutch 2018
Coolant temp switch 2018
Vanos filter and o-rings 2018
Diff and trans fluid 2018
Front wheel bearings 2018
Wheel speed sensors 2018
Aux fan switch 2018
Rebuilt ac compressor 2018
Front control arm kit 2018
Alignment 2018
Shift arm 2019
wipers 2019
Spark plugs 2020
Ignition coils 2022
Intake and exhaust camshaft sensors 2022
Airbag recalls completed
The car had a vanos code pop up and has been parked since (was driven 1 block back to my house when it happened). I don’t have time to deal with the repair so the price reflects the need for immediate repairs to be able to drive it.
I only have records since 2018 when I purchased it so I cannot say if the rod bearings were ever done, but I do know the subframe has not been reinforced.
The car is located in Orange County, CA.
Asking $17,000
Update: I still have the car in the same state and still don’t have much time to work on it.
Besides vanos, it will need a new battery and a windshield cowl.
