I recently made the tough decision to sell my last E46 M3. I came to the conclusion that for the money it would take me to make that car perfect, I could just start with a much cleaner car. I’m looking for both E90/92 M3s and E46 M3s.
Wants:
As little options as possible (slick top, no nav if E9x)
Preventative maintenance addressed
(If E46) Alpine white, LSB, Topaz, Imola, Green etc.
(If E9x) Any color besides black would be preferable
Coilovers, and bushing refresh
Performance mods (tune, headers, exhaust)
I’m not looking to spend more than $20,000 at this point in time, and would preferably like to spend less depending on transmission, how much maintenance was done to the car, etc. I’m flexible in terms of miles, to an extent maintenance matters more than miles in my opinion.
An SMG, LSB slicktop coupe would be “the perfect specimen” to start my build on, however I’m not quite sure if a car like that is reasonable considering my budget - so I’m keeping my search criteria open.
