Let's just say I definitely got lucky. But like most everyone who has one, wouldn't sell mine - even for $4.5K

Someone told me recently that there's only 100-200 of these in North America at most. Considering they made roughly 86k E46 M3's worldwide, that doesn't leave a lot of these available in circulation especially considering some people have multiples in their collection.Originally posted by jet_dogg View Post
Would be funny if one of those was my homie's from like 2003.

I wonder why he got rid of it a year later.Originally posted by Sharocks View PostThis video was made by an OG M3F member years ago when Dixis exhausts weren't crazy lol
I believe it captures the sound best even though it's a really old video.
I've heard this exhaust in person with many setups, it's not overly loud, has barely any drone, light as hell and looks awesome.
There's a reason they're expensive now.

Everyone's exhaust set up will vary, I'll see if I can get some videos this week.Originally posted by BigRussia View Post
Yup, always wondered this myself. I've kept my eyes out for a Dixis Ti since I've owned my E46 and surprised no one bothered to just copy it in Ti. I knew RE made their SS version but why no Ti when there's clearly a demand with the prices for the remaining Dixis continuing to go up.
Also always found it hard to find good sound clips of the Dixis online, especially more recent clips (which would make it hard to justify my point of spending so much when telling my friends about how good this exhaust sounds and not sounding like a crazy person). You would think with an exhaust like this that so many say is the best sounding there would be more and better clips, but the ones I would find would be 7+ years old and janky quality ha.
OP I'm in for more sound clips, def need some while driving/fly-by, just idle and revving wont convey the sound that everyone talks about with this exhaust. GLWS even though I dont agree with the price (just IMO of course).

I know, but no one's made a titanium duplicate and it would drastically lower the costs of acquiring one.

RE El Diablo is the stainless version of this design, and it also is regarded as one of the best sounding mufflers for our cars. But they're also notoriously hard to get ahold of, they sell out each shipment before they arrive.
