You should be able to get a replacement sticker. Try calling K&N and see if they will send you a replacement. They may need you to take a picture of the intake installed, it should avoid the hassle of trying to find stock intake components.

Isnt the K&N air intake kit CARB legal? Look up the model of the air intake on K&N website and get the CARB EO number, should be able to pass the state ref?

Typically, no. Police practically can do whatever they want in this state. Chances are, it wont hold up in court, I already have a lawyer handling the case for me, but it’s gonna be 5-8 months before I can drive my car again.

They 100% should not be doing this to out of state vehicles, but the vehicle code is written in a way that doesn’t necessarily stop them.

I have a basic K&N intake, if you’re at all interested in it.

Not for those parts, no. The SMG airbox has the SMG reservoir attached but since you’re looking at elbow down then any will do.

I recently got state ref’d by someone who probably got bullied in high school. Even though I have an out of state license and registration, I’d prefer to install a stock airbox to avoid any future problems with police

Located in San Diego, local pick up with be ideal, but will pay shipping if reasonable.

I’ll also add, I’m a bit of a neat freak, so if you’re airbox is faded or has visible scratches/gouges, I will respectfully pass on the opportunity

My car is a 6 speed, I have a K&N intake if anyone is at all interested in it.
