IND | Rogue Engineering Dual Shear Selector Rod - E36 through E9x M3 Fitment

The Rogue Engineering DSSR (Dual Shear Selector Rod) has arrived! (E9X Version Pictured)

The major problem with the DSSR design is actually installing it through the selector rod gear joint and/or the bottom of the shifter lever. This is especially true of required plastic washers or other shims are required. So, you have a tight space, the challenge of a washer, shifter lever pivot, another washer...ensuring they all line up through the M10 hole of a DSSR, to finally put the pin through. Cursing and tool throwing is allowed (even expected). Patience is definitely helpful.

The Rogue Engineering DSSR design resolves this installation dilemma. Since our DSSR is designed as two halves (or end-cap version), all the required pieces can be installed onto each side independently. Once completely installed, the two halves are ingenuously indexed to line up and be secured with easy-to-access hardware.
    Product Details:
    • Fully CNC’d 6061-T6 ACQ aluminum construction, anodized for corrosion protection
    • No circlips used in the Rogue Engineering design!
    • Easy installation (compared to conventional DSSR designs)
    • Grade 12.9 hardware included
    • Adjustable tension! When the shifter starts to develop “play” you can tighten it up with an Allen key!
    • Compatible with other branded shift kits (if a factory selector rod is used)

The Rogue Engineering Dual Shear Selector Rod may be viewed at the following link to our online store:

Looks like a well-thought-out design, especially with the two-piece construction making installation easier. The adjustable tension feature is a nice touch too, being able to tighten things up as wear develops is a big plus.

Agreed; we keep E36, E46, and E9X M3 DSSRs in stock for those individuals that prefer to run different brand short shift kits, but the Rogue DSSR is the best on the market we've seen. They include the DSSR with their Octane Short Shift Kits for E36, E46, and E9X as well.
