Was a very entertaining bit of the show, was it actually a training stunt or all put on for TG? Can't believe the Fiesta survived going into the sea like that!

I can't believe that Fiesta got through the water either. Was good though, good show put on. Going through the Shopping centre was cool too, I thought so anyway. :-D

Awesome. I thought that whole scene was great! Bet that made your day Glendog? Loved the look on the face of the Marine in JC's passenger seat. He was loving it, especially when JC said he could shoot out the window. Flippin shell casings clattering off the windscreen and dash. Brilliant.

Wouldn't really want to buy that particular Fiesta now though. :hahaha:

Yeah, it was well put together - I remember it being more of a Cluster F**k on the day, but they managed to make it look rather slick for TV! :hahaha:

I believe the Royal Marines actually approached the Top Gear team with an idea and offered their services to the BBC, who jumped at the chance! The Royal Marines got some nice showy and 'punchy' PR out of it too of course!

I had a quick squint at the Fiesta. As far as i could gather the only modification was that it had a slightly shorter, upturned rear exhaust section that was baffled to stop sea water entry. The car did really well indeed as it actually took 5 shoots to get all the footage needed, and the Fiesta coped admirably driving into the surf each time! :smt023

I think the shopping centre bit was filmed in Milton Keynes? I recognised it as i spent a day there waiting for my car when it was at Thorney's for a re-map! :-D
