Just for a moment if we assume that they are still making money charging out at £950,...then its fair to assume that they were really making mioney at £1,400 !... I would say go fook yourself to them as they were quite willing to rip you off for £450 !!! .... thaTS MY LOGIC WITH BUSINESS, AND IT GETS ME BY !....ARRGHHHHHHH TITS ASS AND BOLLOX FECKIN CAPS AGAIN !!!!!!!Originally posted by Johnnywb View PostRight gents (and ladies)
Battersea have reduced their quote to £950, which is a lot better than their laughable first informal stab at £1,400,
Get along to Murketts, speak to Andy tell him we sent you, I have given him other referrals as well so he is on our side, just dont tell anyone else !!!!

Dragging up an old thread as I'm booking my car into get her 1st InspII when I return from Offshore this time. Couple of quotes I've got over here in NI for information purposes incl.
David Prentice Omagh - £800 (me supplying own oil and no air filter change)
JKC Coleraine - £800 (me supply own oil only)
The Country Garage - £775 (me supplying own oil and no air filter change)
In Scotland
Phoenix BMW in Kirkcaldy - Circa £1000
Will probably end up going with JKC as I've a mate that works there and I like to think he'll have her looked after.
£1400 is just mental!!! Scary in fact.

Some dealers will give you discount on servicing for cars over 6 years old, there is also a 4+ scheme.Originally posted by Dan View PostI just spoke to Andy at Murkett's today for my Insp 2 and have agreed at £840 at the moment, that I assume is inc. VAT!
What's this 6+ thing all about then?

I'll be getting that looked at too. Mine seems jerky on hill starts in particular. Good thing is, I had my mate, the guy who works in JKC in the car when it happened one of the times, so it's not like I am making it up. What set off your suspicions regarding the clutch and flywheel?Originally posted by BOUNCE View PostNo,not had it serviced yet,had a new clutch and flywheel under warranty up there.

It had pretty bad clutch slur,Murketts tried to reset the SMG,but it was still slurring like a fooker, mainly at 4-5k revs.So they gave me a new clutch and flywheel at 62k miles, its now as sharp as it should be.:thumbs:Originally posted by sailorbaz View PostI'll be getting that looked at too. Mine only slurs when on 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and first thing in the morning when everything is cold  Once heated up it's fine, I don't lift at all anymore, let the car do the work when up or down shifting and touch wood it's been fine lately, funnily enough I took it to work this morning and it felt sharp as a pin! :bigcry: :banghead:Originally posted by BOUNCE View PostIt had pretty bad clutch slur,Murketts tried to reset the SMG,but it was still slurring like a fooker, mainly at 4-5k revs.So they gave me a new clutch and flywheel at 62k miles, its now as sharp as it should be.
