It seems the SG CSL OW03 USJ is back on the market after being SOLD through BCA Nottingham last week for around £22 K. A dealer called "Swancar of Loughborough" are now marketing it @ £23 950, after SYTNER BMW of Leicester failed to sell it for a much higher £28 500. All dealers seem to be banging on about the second hand market picking up but my observation is they are simply working to much lower profit margins these days. SORRY to go on about this one but I nearly had this CSL for £22 K prior to the Auction, having been told if it didn't reach it's reserve of £24 K, I would have first refusal. Strangely, when I quizzed BCA about there being a reserve, they said there wasn't one ?!?! Hmmmm ?Originally posted by shimmy View Postnice firm price for an auctioned car, second hand prices seem to be firming up nicely again
good luck with the search.......woppums car will be up for sale by Xmas

Final update ( I promise ) on OW03 USJ, the SG CSL that went trough the BCA halls few weeks back. Having rung Swancar of Loughborough to arrange a viewing, I have been told that they have now SOLD this car (yesterday 9th of Oct. '09) to it's NEW owner. They didn't make MUCH profit on it as they paid £22 800 + some small fees and were asking a VERY reasonable £23 950 which they got, only a week after buying it from the Auction. It was interesting to have a quick chat with the sales chap (a very well spoken, honorable fellow) who commented very favorably about this particular CSL. In his own words ( ... it's as if someone has taken the whole vehicle apart and rebuild it, with NEW parts, absolutely everything, down to nuts & bolts, washer etc . Incredible for any car, but especially one that is 6 years old and has covered 60K from NEW. This one will stay in my mind for a long time)
THE END :bigcry:

maybe you should be asking yourself why it looks like it has been rebuilt?Originally posted by mattCSLnut View PostFinal update ( I promise ) on OW03 USJ, the SG CSL that went trough the BCA halls few weeks back. Exactly. From what I heard, and I told you this Matt, that car has been in a serious scrape but not got it recorded on HPI, meaning probably a track crash and repair.Originally posted by shimmy View Postmaybe you should be asking yourself why it looks like it has been rebuilt?
Suppose that's fine if it has indeed been repaired with all new parts etc... but that still should be reflected in the price.
The last owner was desperate to sell because it had been up for sale for months... dropping steadily a thousand at a time.
Like I said, barge and pole. Don't lose any sleep over missing out on that one.

ARRRRRRRRR ! I'm loosing my mind here... going CSL CRAZZZY ! :banghead: I thought you were talking about the other SG CSL from Leicester area that was being SOLD privately. I'm glad that's been cleared now. Did U know that car was being retailed by Sytner Leicester only few weeks ago, at an over the top price of £28 500 with not a single sole making serious enquiries. It's the reason why it ended up the Auction, I guess. Water under the bridge. :hahaha:
