The green hell!! Like it!
Do you guys get insured for it? If so, who do you go with?
I called Adrian Flux earlier, said im going on excursion to Europe, and looking to drive across a german toll road, called something like the Nurburgring, am I covered??!!!!
As soon as she heard that hallowed word, she was straight in to insurance mode, no cover, no support etc!! Seems like the days of the old toll road excuse are over! Not surprised though. Heard some terrible stories about the cost of those armcos!

Not that old chestnut again ^^^^ That site is nothing more than scaremongering and doesn't offer an insurance policy of any substance that is worth the paper it is written on! :smt012Originally posted by DuncanR View PostIf you really want to look into it reesy here is a link, http://www.nurburgmotorsport.com/Insurance.html

Very few companies will insure the Ring now unless you drive it as part of an organised, professionally run track day. I used to be able to get Tourist Drive insurance through MORIS (Everitt Boles) but for some reason the suddenly stopped providing cover for TF days around 6 months ago - i haven't enquired since...

So with all this talk of upcoming track days (and me getting my finger out) its got me wondering about insurance. Who insures their car for track days? If not, why not? Whats the cost? Does age / track / NCBs make any difference? Any other input welcome. Cheers :)
Brits making the pilgrimage to drive the Nurburgring Circuit in Germany are being offered a new one-off insurance policy that could save thousands of Euros in the event of an accident. Ha sanyone seen this.... Police at the new Nürburgring are promising to be stricter with all Visitors who flout Germany rules for vehicles, starting this August onwards!A NEW crackdown has been launched by the RheinlandPfalz Police, in and around the Nürburgring region. Police are sending out a message to all Visitors

Sound, thought I was the only one out the masses going with no ring cover so to speak. How would that transpire then, if you caused someone a serious injury deemed your fault? Do you sign a normal disclaimer as per uk tracks? Could the german police not seize your car if you cannot show valid road insurance?Originally posted by glendog74 View PostNope - not anymore...
My broker was round yesterday sorting our trade renewal, apparently insurance has dropped in price across the range:beer:. He is trying to wangle track cover for testing purposes
into our policy for free. Another years no claims as well so should be all good.
