Congratulations, you must have driven well in all the cars to win driver of the day. I was pleased with 2nd place on the half dayOriginally posted by magnust View PostJust came back to the hotel after a superb day!
Atom - agree 100% with you
Caterham - yup, agree!
The Formula Jaguar and JP-LM were so nice, well balanced and forgiving to drive too (not only the M3) The speed you could carry trough the fast sweepers and high speed kinks were just amazing
Sounds like it is worth doing the full day to drive the jag & jp-lm. How much quicker are they?

They feel waaaay quicker . Not sure how much quicker they actually are. The speedometer seen in the video gives a hint. No crazy huge numbers there really. The cool thing though is you do notice the downforce working in the quick kinks and sweepers. Fantastic fun!Originally posted by Trawler View Post...the jag & jp-lm. How much quicker are they?

Thanks, the videos looked fun. Any comments from the instructor on the use of kerbs? I was told I used them too much.Originally posted by magnust View PostThey feel waaaay quicker . He was on me ALL the time to use more curbs :-DOriginally posted by Trawler View PostThanks, the videos looked fun. Any comments from the instructor on the use of kerbs? I was told I used them too much.
Initially they said just barely leave the outer wheels outside the curbs and all the rest of the car on the curb. But even if I did that he pushed me to take even more curb in some particular places. He was really pushing and afterwards he had a good laugh with the instructor from the car in front of us, from their conversation it was very clear they had a race between them with each "pupil" and had great fun doing it. Cool guys :-D He told me he rarely let people race so close but felt it ok this time. Egobooster people pleaser I say :-D Oddly enough he really really urged me to upload the video to youtube.
I can imagine they take a more restrictive approach to the curbs when raining??

Must agree the instructors made it a fun time trying to get you to go quicker. Some of the guys admitted they would not give it the full beans & backed off. Felt like it myself sometimes when I could not see through a steamed up visor
