IMHO He seems drawn into a world of bull5hit (manipulative management company?) that has little to do with the sport of motor racing, which from outside looks to be unsettling him over the last few years. Also his apparent relationship breakdown with his father hasn't seemed to help? :moan:
These child prodigies often seem to go a bit off when real life strikes, about the time they discover the draw of the furry magnet!? Look at Mr Woods - once he found it he couldnt help but stick it in everything with a pulse!! Affected his 'Golf' but who gives a 5hit i guess?!!!:supz:
Its easy to comment from outside, but imagine the politics going on inside f1 and inter teams. I might be wrong, he might be a little cunt, but I do t think it's all his doing.
Hope the car improves as I am a Hamilton fan but I'm afraid this move looks all about the money! I would want the fastest car and win races/championships!
If you look at the forthcoming Rule
Changes in F1 over the next couple
of years, and especially Engines,
then it may well prove to be a smart move.
The internal structure at Mclaren
and its overall focus is very
different now to when Hamilton first
arrived, when the Sponsors craved prizes and exposuer,
but now the Banks and Investors want their
Capital back with interest.
Not only that, did he really jump or was
he pushed, just a bit ?

Looking at the rule changes for 2014, it is often said that Mercedes will have an advantage over McLaren. I hope it's true, as I would'nt like to see his talent go to waste...
Hamilton is one of the fastest drivers on the grid, his talent is amazing, personally as a driver I think he is fantastic, as a person he can be a bit of a spoilt twat.
If Merc can sort themselves out for the rule changes then I think he's going to be in a great race seat.
I love McLaren but they really have dropped the ball in recent years, Hamilton would have almost had this year sewn up if they didn't cock up as a team this year.
It's an exciting prospect him going to Merc, Brawn is still the best strategist imho
Given the changing Internal Politics
at Mercedes, driven immensley by
Brawn that it does not have to be
German Team/German Driver,
then with Hamilton senior as your
manager, Di Resta must be looking
good for Rosberg's seat in 2014.
With Lauda now the Non-Exc Chairman
of Mercedes-AMG-Petronas, then Mercs focus is
for a F1 Title, even more so the
Contractors Championship.
Di Resta still has a lot of fans inside
AMG from his DTM days, and with
Schumi Outqualifying Roseberg
on several occasions, and the way
Di Resta has cleverly played the
''Team Game'' at Force India this year,
then no surprises if the Hamiltons are
both wearing the AMG shirt for 2014.
Can only speak as fan looking from outside the sport but even if Mac have dropped the ball on occasion this year, I think Hamilton had some good cars since 2008, just that he spent a lot of time stuffing them into walls and other drivers (particularly Massa?) at critical points in the season. He has himself contributed to failed title bids in the last few seasons.
I would say that Alonso hasn't always had the best car in many of his title bids, as earlier this year, but appears to make the most of any package he is given? Look at diff between him and Massa?
I guess if Mac keep Mercedes power for 2014 they might be given duff engines but they have Merc engines now, as in 2008, so shouldn't be an excuse if they keep partnership. Dont see Redbull suffering as engine customer?
Waht deos everybody think of the new engine rules for @2014?
What an interesting and great season it is so far, i for one am looking forward to 2014 now, a change is good as the saying goes:thumbs:
Some interesting views being aired, I can only comment as a fan( Ill informed at that) and cos I
a bit bored at an exhibition..... ( sorry John :blalalala
As far as I know lewis wants more than maclaren are willing to pay, so ze Germans must have equalled what he is on now, and promised a better car for 2014..... Whether they will be able to deliver that is another thing entirely.
As for him being pushed, I think he mixes in the kind of circles where people say yes to him, and I don't think maclaren want that kind of celebrity in the team. He may well end up as britains best ever driver, but he's not the complete driver just yet
