Hi mate,if I were you I would go to the BMW warranty web site, look up the cover you would like,as there are loads of options. Then phone them and tell them you would like to renew a lapsed warranty.Cant tell you the cost options as there are so many, which also increase after 60k miles and you also have the option of BMW breakdown cover.

Don't they say somewhere on the forum if you pay monthly it will never lapse or be questioned

                    partly right

pay monthly and the policy runs until you cancel it or stop paying and therefore remains at original rate, but your claims over policy lifetime is limited to your second hand purchase value

pay yearly and policy is renewed every year hence when you go above 60k miles the policy cost will rise to the over 60k mile rate. in theory your claim limit is the second hand purchase price of the car but EVERY YEAR

So what you're saying is Shim, you won't get 2 new engines etc if your on monthly, unless you paid over 30k for the car.
