I think somebody mentioned it already, bit the 1M is a great buy for that price. Depreciation is not an issue right now, and I see no reason for that not to continue.

If you have not driven one I would strongly advise it, its a fantastic car. Actually my second favourite BMW of the last 25 years (after the CSL).

Ticks all the boxes IMO, if I had £40k right now that's where I would put it.

In honesty, reason for selling has always been money and me panicking, seeing £40k plus sat on drive getting little use and depreciating always frightened me. Silly really, so now wedding is done, I know where wallet is up to, so systems go.
Fair enough Shane  so residuals are very important, obviously , in which case bit of forward thinking is required.
Lots of people getting out of E92 M3 at the moment so they are droping in value BIG :119: time, as well as the NEW M4 being just around the corner, promising to be a great M-car with E46 M3 curb weight, straight 6 Twin or Tri Turbo with 450 BHP + and M4 CSL in the pipelines as well, all of which is going to kill the residuals of the E92 M3, so that's straight out of the equation.

The R35 GTR values are also heading South, just not as fast as the E92 M3. Where do you recon the GTR is going to be @ price wise in lets say 12 months time ?

I recon if you can get into a 997 Turbo @ around £40 ish K that's the one that's going to hold it's value best. Just my thoughts.

Problem for Shane would be the 1M is Manual only IIRC

C63 AMG is better :smokin: but neither would make a good track car.

At Matt, Gtr I don't think will ever fall much below £30k if I'm honest.

Who knows what ill get, you guys should start a betting book:gayfight:

I think I'm leaning towards rwd, m3... But which one. A nice e92 with a few tweaks or a csl again.

In that case my money is on another "Godzilla" then :supz: ... unless you stumble upon a 997 Turbo Tip @ £40K
Nice £40K dilemma to have mate

My theory around the 30k is simply the performance that they give.
I might be wrong though, I usually am:119:

                              Not my thing either.

I'm trying to sort a deal on a csl with my mate that I advertised on here last week, with my evo. Just waiting to hear back from him, although I think he is after a gen 2 gt3.

:hahaha: I was going to suggest the RS6 V10 Twin Turbo with 570 + BHP stock (make mine an Avant for extra kudos) but neither it or the RS5 are going to be much use @ track days :banghead: I'd love either of these two http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...estate/1501892 or http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...p-auto/1420318
