Yes it can Ross, as long as history is good, does not have to be all dealer either.

Ring mondial to get a quote, the price goes up after 60k miles.

You dont need to get it inspected either beforehand.

Once under warranty it has to be serviced at the main dealer for hassle free ownership too.

There are varying degrees of cover, and varying degrees of excess too.

As Shane says yes. I put warranty on mine 4yrs ago and it was lapsed before I purchased the car.
Actually called them yesterday to "tweek" the policy and as a reward for being a loyal customer they dropped my monthly premium by £25

Sounds good. What sort of cost is it?
Anyone got experience of how they deal with claims? Do the dealers tend to want to carry out warranty work and side with the customer or vise versa?
Anyone got any input BM warranty vs other Independent mechanical warranties (such as quentin Wilson backed one)

We are a mechanical company btw but I just can't be arsed with the hassle if anything goes wrong hence all the questions.

As I found out recently when my car broke down in Italy, warranty is worth it's weight in gold. Paid out €700 on presentation of invoice from dealer after starter motor packed in.

Will have to give them a shout when I get home, £25 is better in my pocket.

My CsL had no BMW warranty for 4 years, then I renewed it in 2010 and kept it ever since.

My car came without warranty, went straight out and got cover for piece of mind, you have to do the first month without any cover then your are sorted, set it up on monthly payment.

Surely this will stop after the car is 10 years old?

Think it is on mileage rather than age Billy. 100k seems to spring to mind for some reason.

But once you are in warranty (with a monthly DD as opposed to an annual fee) then your policy stays live. IMHO.

For this reason, if your car is close to 60K (or 100k) then you should swap to monthly DD.
