Its the difference between buying a house in Mayfair and Maidstone one will always hold there moneyOriginally posted by custom-d View PostI looked at several csl before buying my m3 and just couldn't justify spending 30k on a car with stone chips and worn/scuffed interior parts etc. but that's just me and we all know they command these prices even in this state and they seem to sell.

I think there are around 11/12,000 common or garden M3's left in RHD and only 285 CSL's. Nuff said!Originally posted by custom-d View PostThat's very true and csls always seem to sell whatever the mileage or condition just because there rare
I bought an M roadster 3 years ago instead of an E46 M3 because it was rarer and felt more special. To get a tidy normal M3 to the same standard aesthetically, aurally and in terms of handling as a CSL would cost thousands.
A ferrari 348 costs about 25-35k but the competizione is advertised for around 99k. I haven't seen people on ferrari forums justifying buying the girl's version!

That's not a very nice attitude to have is it now, I'm not bashing anyone's thread I'm just stating that I don't think csls that have been to the moon and back are worth these sort of prices, after all you asked what your car is worth and 20k tops is what price I'd put on it.Originally posted by Das Chin View Postits a convertible.....oh dear.
please take your thoughts and views back to cutters custom d with jon boy and co. I don't want this thread trashed with csl bashing as not what its for.

:whistle:I would have said early 30s deano. derek has just put his SB (my old car) with 55k miles and very standard for 34k.Originally posted by deanobeano View PostSo what's mine worth?
Stock SB with 61K miles
I would say mint condition
sub frame done by Elms last year
Transferrable BMW fully comp warranty
Only did 1.5k miles last year.
I wonder how much a warranty would add to the selling price?
the market is the market and it dictates pricing. not what cutters with shallow pockets think a csl should be worth as they all seem to think the CSL/M3 differences are a few carbon parts  mileage is just one factor in a car condition....I saw lots of mid 50s and 60s mileage car and they were in a poor state of prep and needed paint and other things.

You asked me to show you a 8k mile M3 which the last time I looked at the badge on the boot that's what it was. And as for the price I have already been offered 4k more than I paid from a well know m3 specialist so if a dealer can offer me that without even seeing the car then I think I win this one. :hahaha:Originally posted by Yanto View PostIt's a "vert"...
Sorry, all bets off. :smokin:
