Good luck selling your csl, I'm thinking more 18k standard 20k with the brakes is a fair price and I know my csl prices I'd like to think.Originally posted by Das Chin View Postback to the top please. I would prefer seasoned CSL owners views....not a hairdresser/estate agent. much obliged.

Just because a modern car has 100K on it doesn't make it 'tired', My previous E39 M5 had 100k on it when I sold it, yet to drive and look at you would swear it had done less than 30k miles, Modern cars are built to do the miles and if serviced and looked after will easily see 200k miles, I have a standard M3 as well as a CSL and if you believe a low mileage std car is even in the same league as a higher mileage CSL then you my friend are living in cloud cuckoo land, Enjoy your M3 but please don't get a drive in a CSL or you may be parting company with your car very quickly, especially if you know how to drive properly.Originally posted by custom-d View PostGood luck selling your high miler I'm thinking more 18k to be fair

Condition is everything with these cars more so the csl being a collectors car, a collector such as myself would want the car perfect for it to command a high price. I'm not worried about how the car drives at speed etc as it will spend most of its life being pottered around in an do very little mileage and certainly never see a track etc. I wouldn't want a car that had been thrashed or tracked and being the type of car the csl is most of them have had a hard life and been driven hard.Originally posted by mr sagman View PostJust because a modern car has 100K on it doesn't make it 'tired', My previous E39 M5 had 100k on it when I sold it, yet to drive and look at you would swear it had done less than 30k miles, Modern cars are built to do the miles and if serviced and looked after will easily see 200k miles, I have a standard M3 as well as a CSL and if you believe a low mileage std car is even in the same league as a higher mileage CSL then you my friend are living in cloud cuckoo land, Enjoy your M3 but please don't get a drive in a CSL or you may be parting company with your car very quickly, especially if you know how to drive properly.

What you perceive it to be worth & what the markets believes it to be worth are totally different things.
I'd love to believe that 993 GT2's aren't worth £300-£500k, & that i'll be able to get in one for £100k.
Sadly, I'm dreaming.

Ever so slightly different when your talking a quarter of the price, it's not like I'm saying his high miler is worth 10k is it. 20k is a realistic price with the mileage. At 25k you might as well put another 5k ontop and get a car with half the miles. Depends on how quick you want to shift the car.Originally posted by portlandgrey View PostWhat you perceive it to be worth & what the markets believes it to be worth are totally different things.

I would respectfully suggest you're possibly the last type of person most people on here would want owning one of these cars.....IMHOOriginally posted by custom-d View PostCondition is everything with these cars more so the csl being a collectors car, a collector such as myself would want the car perfect for it to command a high price. Fair enough the csl is a car built for the track but at the same time it is a collectors car. It would be a crime to track a low mileage mint example if that's what you want to do then you might aswell buy a high miler to abuseOriginally posted by j88 csl View PostI would respectfully suggest you're possibly the last type of person most people on here would want owning one of these cars.....IMHO
