Low mileage examples are usually the worst in terms of their service history. Four such examples have been sold by BMW UK, every one of which was a press car (2 to go) which were taken to the limit around tracks in the interests of promoting the car. Deduced - all that glistens is not gold!

Don't worry about collectors, they already have theirs squirreled away, only 359 were ever road registered by the DVLA.

Infact I remember you from last year, I went to view two csls one of which you had already viewed in Essex which you thought was 'not a bad car' turns out after viewing the car it was another pile of crap and needed paint from front to back and someone had been cramming a wheelchair in the boot! So if your current one is half as 'clean' as the one in Essex I bet it's a corker :bigcry:
sod it I'll even find the pm's and put then on here before I get called a liar again by the other jumped up poster !

sure. not a bad car but needs wheels refurbing and one of the front tyres is cracked. so that needs doing as an 07 year tyre. other 3 seemed fine.

good low mileage car and new diff plus recent service.

kept outside but not driven much and owner dean seems very genuine. gets a bad back from the seats and wants to go E92 M3.

its up for 29k but has movement.

I went for the cheaper higher mileage one as I got it for sub 20k and I only do around 1000-1500 miles per year in a 3rd car so having that extra 10k in the bank is handy.

bit peppered around the rear arches down low which suggests it may have done some track work.

        hope that helps NW

So seems my estimate of 20k isn't quite in dream land as you lot make out. :gayfight:

Then spend another 5k making it mint and you got yourself a right bargain :bigcry:

And as for the price I have already been offered 4k more than I paid from a well know m3 specialist so if a dealer can offer me that without even seeing the car then I think I win this one. :hahaha:
Sorry mate but having an opinion isn't a substitute for having a CSL - so how do you win :banghead::banghead::banghead:???? You seem to be saying I could have bought a CSL but I chose an M3 'vert because it didn't look tired. Your argument's flawed to the core - if you're so concerned about the condition of the car (which appears to be your main premise), then why buy an aged M3 'vert? Surely you'd buy something new - not exactly a driver's car is it? The comparison between an M3 'vert and a CSL is laughable, chalk and cheese. There's no denying there's a wiff of "playing the pink oboe" about the M3 'vert (I'm just saying! I own a "hairdresser's" 'vert myself :gayfight whereas it's unlikely anyone will even notice the CSL - it's not for boosting flagging egos. Turn up at the pub in the 'vert and people aren't going to think "petrolhead" are they? Unlike the 'vert, the CSL's not a car to be seen in - it's for people who couldn't give a stuff about being seen, it's about sensation :supz:; thats why it costs more. The fact it's become a collector's car, or perhaps more correctly a speculator's car is by the by really, it is what it is.

Im just not convinced about the desirability of an M3 Conv.. Regardless of the mileage! Its arguably the ugly sister of the E46 range.. It handles the worst, it is the slowest.. It has the chav image (rightly or wrongly), It's also hardly a rare car, If it was an ultra low mileage CS then I could understand it, If you seriously got offered £4 or £5k more than you paid for it then I think you are a little bit crazy to of refused., as that would of been another £5k towards a proper drivers car like a CSL:thumbs:
Seriously if you're happy with it thats all that really matters.

I think I saw Billy and Adem cruising down Hamstead High St the other day with the top down and I must say they looked pretty cool.

If you are as savvy as you are trying to make out then I'd bite his hand off because in 6 months time your car will have lost £4k. All of a sudden even a lower end CSL make sense.

I'm not worried about how the car drives at speed etc as it will spend most of its life being pottered around in an do very little mileage and certainly never see a track etc. I wouldn't want a car that had been thrashed or tracked and being the type of car the csl is most of them have had a hard life and been driven hard.
The tracked cars are better looked after, if anything goes wrong fixed straight away just ask giraffe he looks after most of the cars on this site, and they were built to be used hard.
