Surely life is too short to keep a car like a CSL in the garage wrapped in cotton wool for the next owner! I bought my CSL to drive and enjoy and don't give a shit about the mileage increasing, as I bought it for me, not the next owner.
If your concerned about depreciation buy a property.. If you wanna have fun buy a CSL.

I agree. There is however a little apprehension when I drive the car with commitment....just in case things go tits up...and that is down to the car's value....that said half a dozen laps of the ring last year followed by my son showing me how it's done in my car!! is a move in the right direction:thumbs:Originally posted by mr sagman View PostSurely life is too short to keep a car like a CSL in the garage wrapped in cotton wool for the next owner! It's because I'm a fussy bugger as simple as that, I wanted the best possible car that I could find and I have always loved the e46 m3 in all models. I wanted as near to as new an m3 as I could possibly have got and am happy with my purchase. Yes I would have loved a csl with under 25k miles but to get one with these miles let alone 8k is now unfortunately out of my league price wise.Yes I could have gone for a csl with 60k or 70k miles but because I am so particular I just wasn't happy with the condition.

I'm a fussy bugger as well & it took me nearly a year to find mine. Ended up with a car that had been tracked over so called one owner, car in perfect condition, etc. Car had been looked after & had an inspection before each track day. If you like driving more than having something to look at drive a Cesil and you will save your pennies to get one. Had mine nearly 8 years now.Originally posted by custom-d View PostIt's because I'm a fussy bugger as simple as that, I wanted the best possible car that I could find and I have always loved the e46 m3 in all models. I brought mine for 32K with 14K on the clock, the guy I brought it from was to worried to have the car chipped by road driving or even stolen while out and about, even had all the front end, mirrors and rear arch's redone by BMW, have owned mine 3 years now and you should see the front end now, but what fun I have had especially on the Munich trip last year shame we could not get the track day in, not enough of us on this forum who will track there cars. :thumbs:Originally posted by custom-d View PostIt's because I'm a fussy bugger as simple as that, I wanted the best possible car that I could find and I have always loved the e46 m3 in all models. Lol! :gayfight:Originally posted by shimmy View PostBilly says Verts are cool.
I think I saw Billy and Adem cruising down Hamstead High St the other day with the top down and I must say they looked pretty cool.

At times when I'm in a very dark place emotionally, I've thought to myself that M3 verts seem quite a cool proposition for the summer months... Then I give myself a stern talking to in the mirror. :bigcry:

Good on you if you can use it and not worry about it. For me it's alot of money to have tied up in a car and would want to preserve it the best I could, and sounds like you gave a very fair price back then. Would bring you a tidy profit now no doubt about that.Originally posted by CraigMillwardCroft View PostI brought mine for 32K with 14K on the clock, the guy I brought it from was to worried to have the car chipped by road driving or even stolen while out and about, even had all the front end, mirrors and rear arch's redone by BMW, have owned mine 3 years now and you should see the front end now, but what fun I have had especially on the Munich trip last year shame we could not get the track day in, not enough of us on this forum who will track there cars.
