They want £200 plus VAT. Thats includes doing the M style stitching. I should be getting a call on Monday about whether they can get in the alcantara I want. I'll let you know how things progress.Originally posted by adem.csl View PostWhat kind of pricing dude??

Snap! The Bristol branch are still struggling to get the alcantara and I'm not convinced they'll get much joy. I was provided with a sample of the alternative suede that I mentioned previously. The colour 'lunar' is not a bad colour match but still not perfect and I'm not convinced it feels the same as the alcantara.Originally posted by adem.csl View PostIve got a wheel just waiting on Transcal to get the alcantara in stock!!

I thought the Alcantara in our cars is just a standardised colour? IIRC code 9002 or 9052?Originally posted by TimCSL View PostSnap! The Bristol branch are still struggling to get the alcantara and I'm not convinced they'll get much joy.
Should be fine if they're ordering it from the Alcantara SpA themselves.

The Scottish branch of Transcal were quoting me £100 a square metre for 9002 alacantara but they could only order a minimum of 10 metres!Originally posted by Marv968 View PostI thought the Alcantara in our cars is just a standardised colour? IIRC code 9002 or 9052?

Had a new wheel through BMW about 4 years ago.....it was about £600 without the airbag and centre covers.Originally posted by khooni View Postso how much is a genuine CSL: wheel anyway...
and when you buy a spare wheel, what wheel should be purchased? I need mine recovered but was thinking about buying a new wheel (with alcantara) and sending the old one to get it recovered.

Quick update on wheel front for anyone thinking of getting their wheel re-trimmed by Transcal. I've sourced the 9002 alcantara from UKhide.co.uk for circa £40 as Transcal couldn't get any. The minimum order quantity is 0.5m x 1.4m which Transcal confirmed is sufficient to do one wheel. The alcantara comes in two variants. You need the 'cover' version with a mesh type backing. Transcal are charging £185 to retrim. I'll post up pics once I get it back.
