BMW are dearer but worth it to keep the FBMWSH in my mind.

If the car was run of the mill I’d go Indy.

I've only used an official dealer once, or twice in the time I've owned the car (nearly 14 years) & that was because Gareth worked there. Not sure that helps, but I prefer the mechanic to a fancy dealership.

I asked the same question a short while ago.

Ok so I'm about to break out the CSL after it's 3yr break in storage. Needless to say it's needing recommissioned with brakes overhaul, MOT etc etc and all that good stuff. Now it needs an inspection 2 as well which is fine BUT would now be the time to shift from the main dealer to a good specialist? Car now has no warranty

I am going Indy as I do feel I will get more for my money and the guys there are real enthusiasts who care about the car, know what it is and actually want to work on these machines.

Most of the dealer mechanics I have seen in recent years look like they were ready to jump.
