    Subframe Resin

I (fingers crossed for the future) dont have any subframe cracks, im thinking of getting it resin injected to reduce the chance of them in the future.

Does anyone have any experience of having this done ?

Can my local dealers do it ?

    Worth it ?

I know there are reinforcement plates but to be honest for such a little amount of use that the car gets and only road miles i didnt want to go that route.

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you mate and would be interested to hear thoughts/ opinions. I believe BMW do the foam/ resin jobbie for about £300.

I'm not sure that the foam injection alone would prevent anything from taking place, what might have an effect is seam welding, but that would cost - lots!

I believe its more of a resin than a foam designed to fill the void with more of a solid substance than foam

I've read that if you have the resin and if cracks do appear afterwards you then get have the repair plates welded in (don't know why though)
