If the car has had one thats all it will get .

Ask your dealer to email Product Markiting with your chassie no if the car has not had one you will get it for free :thumbs:

Look what (finally) turned up in the post today :thumbs:
Success on my third attempt in the 6 years of ownership and only short 12 years late after Elms BMW parts guys cross checked my chassis number against BMW Product Marketing data base only to finally find out mine was never issued one.
Well worth the wait :supz:

Out of interest I'm trying to get a hold of one of these for my CSL, I work in a BMW dealer, just spoke to parts who emailed someone at BMW who replied saying these were issued at production, is this right? I thought they were an after thought? Would love to get one for mine.

They were SUPPOSED to be, however, some did not. If yours is one of those (which they should be able to tell by the chassis number), then they "should" send you out the one that was supposed to be issued to the car in the first place. If one has already been allocated to the car and is shown as having been supplied with it, then that is when you will struggle.
