The missing thread

Hi all

So I've gotten a few private messages about the missing thread for which we shall not name.

A quick explanation about it.

It seems someone on here with the genuine article didn't like what I was doing so reported me to the Patents department at BMW AG - so I've effectively been told to cease and desist by its high profile Lawyers.

I've tried to open a dialogue with BMW AG about it through their lawyers, even floated them the idea of a Royalty or one off Licence for a fixed number which I was quite happy to pay to them directly with all proceeds going to charity as originally intended. I even explained to them with the way that used memorabilia are being traded they are not getting any financial gains out of it and to do this for the enthusiastic owners at least they can benefit something from it at the same time and satisfy those who missed out - even asked them if they could do a rerun for us.

But it seems the Corporate world is inflexible and they don't really want a bar of it and loyal customer-ship and enthusiasts mean nothing to them.

So I am deeply sorry to those holding out hope about it.

I have however not given up all hope, so will look at another way to see if I can convince BMW AG.

Its even more sad to see that apparently someone from here notified BMW.
I hope all your efforts aren't going down the drain now and you can work something out with BMW.

I think the member who did this should be permanently banned.
Going after a patent claim for something that is not a business but actually a charity is borderline ridiculous.
I am pretty sure the same member is not scanning EBAY every day to report to BMW all the copies sold in thousands.

I was just thinking how great it would be if the same person notifying the legal / patent department, was showing the same enthusiasm in notifying them about the number of CSL & BMW fans who are suffering from the fact that BMW does not offer anymore some of the spare parts of this special car.

Alex, they are busy selling OEM Parts for the yanks see THIS or THAT or THAT... no time for those pesky csl owners who dare to ask for spare parts.

Im really curious what is the idea behind BMW offering group-buys of CSL parts for a region where it was never sold. And yes, im mad :moan:
