Okay, I thought I'd put this up in the members section as I don't really want this to be out in the Public forum.
As we all know stealers can charge an arm and a leg just to 'scan' our cars or better still to re-adapt our SMG (and there are real benefits in re-adapting them on a regular basis).
There are plenty of buy it now GT1s on ebay - but again you spend a good chunk of your money just to get one and if the Chinese made diagnostic head burns out (as many do) you are stuck with a useless piece of hardware.
There's a simpler way (as some of you may have noticed in my posts with screen shots).
I spent a good month of my night time trying to figure out the full BMW diagnostic system and have now a fairly good grasp of how you can build these systems without spending a fortune.
If you have a readily available laptop, all you need to do is find the software, buy a cable and off you go - under 100 pounds.
However, respecting the forum owners, I'd like to get an okay first before I post all these information and how-to up in here.
What I won't do is tell you where to get the software from - google them it's out there.
These are pirated BMW software, so use them at your own peril. The reality is the GT1 is now an obselete system and BMW really no longer cares - but for us CSL owners there are real benefits in being able to scan your own car and reset adaptations.
I am only doing this for the benefit of members and nothing more. But like I said, only if the moderators think it's okay.
Again - no links to the software will be provided, just a basic condensed know how that I've accumulated from my month of research.
