    Perspective......

Had some very sad news in the last hour....a good school mate of mine has passed away today. Diagnosed with the big C at the end of last year out the blue, great guy, successful job, in complete love with his wife (we used to rib him as he fell hard for her in his early 20's) 4 daughters under age of 12..everything to live for and gone at the ripe old age of 38.

This comes on the back of the missus cousin who feeling ill, went into hospital on a Sat in early December complaining of severe headaches, sent away with paracetamol, returned on the Sunday still unwell and sent away again. She died in her sleep on the Sun night / Monday morning...initially suspected virus, now thought possible swine flu. Fit and healthy, no previous problems and RIP at 39. Two kids under 11 years old. We buried her on the first Fri in Jan..

Not a sympathy seeking post this one boys and girls (coz I'm hard !), but more a wake up call for those (and me !) that life is precious and we need to get out and enjoy each day to the full....never know when the reaper will strike. Dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today and if you wanna do something, fookin DO IT.

    RIP Tyron & Laura

(am afraid you get the brunt of this shock I am feeling...missus is away and I aint in a chatty mood with pals locally !! - much love :beer

Very sad news mate - the good always die young :bigcry:
200% agree with the comment re living life to the full.... I lost my old man when he was 38 (and me 18.) so very much try and live to that motto anyway - that's why I am doing all I can to keep the CSL and get the gaf I want :hahaha:

Keep your chin up mate

PS. Must arrange those  soon!!!

its a fragile life matey and no guarantees

'live for today but prepare for tomorrow' has been my moto for a few years now after my neighbour died in his sleep in 2007 at 38 yo with no warning leaving 2 kids

its a shocker when you see up close how fragile life can be, Dunc and I were talking about this over a bowl of cabbage soup today and gave me something to think about all the way home, likewise now.

dont dwell too long mate, just mourn the dead, then get on and enjoy the living. No second chances:smokin:

Sorry to hear about your loss mate and as has been said, live life to the full now, you don't know what's round the corner. I get grief from friends and family for not thinking about the future, but so what, we don't know when our future might be taken from us without warning!

This scares the sh1t out of me as a very good friend of mine's Wife went into hospital on Sunday with suspected Swine flu. Fit as a fiddle, only 27 married a couple of years and looking to try for a family soon.

Some good advice here, chin up mate.

sorry to hear this ian. Its always very sad when people pass away before their time. As said we all need to live life to the full. I came very close to passing away when i was in my 20s, so i try to do what i want to do now, hence the csl which i couldn't really afford but thought fook it. So go and order a s/s exhaust and cheer yourself up mate.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family Ian. Indeed this does put things very much into perspective. Sorry for your loss.
Having personally suffered a great loss myself in 2009 I can tell you from my own experience that time is a great healer and having my own CSL has been very therapeutic.

My condolences for your loss Ian,

MattCSLnut, same here, I had a close call in 2007 and jumping in the CSL when not in treatment really helped clear my mind.
