Started early doors, headed off to oulton park in my old CSL.
I went with my mate who bought my CSL. Gave him some pointers and he did great, ESP considering it was his first time out on track.
I had some really good track time in the hot seat, it felt very familiar, almost like we had not parted company.
It was my first time out properly on cups, have to say they held on really well, even more so as we left the clubsports on soft, didn't bring tools and we forgot I had backed them right off as it's his daily driver.
It still held on in there and I gave the mega horse power jap scrappers a good duffing up!
My mate left at 2 as he was going to Leeds, so I jumped in the little a class and headed for the snake pass.
Nice little drive across the snake and arrived at Sheffield
Sytner Sheffield to be precise...... Picked up the E92 today at 5, had a good chinwag with the sales lads then left in the new toy.
Bought myself a 58 plate 10k silverstoneII coupe with every toy.
Set off for home, playing with all the gadgets. Had the best drive ever home.
First impressions are that it's great.
I jumped straight out a track fettled Csl and whilst they are worlds apart in some respects, in others they are alike.
Will it be as quick/ nimble as the Csl on track? Probably not, but for a great track/ road car it will take some beating.
I could feel it was slightly heavier than the Csl, but it was still pin sharp.
How long will I keep it? Fuck knows, but one things for sure it made me grin from Sheffield all the way to liverpool, and all the cars I have bought and got rid of recently never did that!
Wish me luck:smokin:
So for me, all in a truly epic day,
And a big thanks to Terry for letting me pilot my old girl again. It was a pleasure, you are a top guy.
