Last night race he finished 15th, so a signature under his belt and some valuable experience. Race pace was much quicker than qualification

            Shimmy fuck off telling everyone

what a fucking 4 days !! massive learning curve.
Nightmare testing, 1st session 1st corner broke down, 2nd session 1 lap broke down, got some spare bits from others. Changed coiled, stripped carb and changed fuel filter, all systems go. Did one session and then gave the other to my instructor (Howard Hunt) top guy !!!!
Then qualifying in the wet, 1st mistake, we didnt check the set up. I put 4 new unscrubbed tyres on, it was like I was on ice!!!! came in disappointed and someone checked my settings and started laughing. Full hard on front and 3/4 hard on rear...
changed set up for the 1st race. I made a couple of places up quite quickly into the 1st banked corner then another couple of places over a couple of laps, I thought I was going ok (I was never going to be up front) then I saw Phil on the pit wall and gave hime the thumbs up.. missed my turn in, flat in 4th and went off on the grass :hahaha: arse cheeks nipped manged to get back on track for the banked bend. Lost all my places.
2nd race very wet and decided from the off to stay back, I could have made a few places straight away but thought better of it, I got 6 places and found myself in between packs, I thought I would hang in where I was to finish until an new addition to the grid was coming up behind me (ST in a different class) I thought I would do the right thing and get off line and let him through:banghead: he got passed, I was on the grass(again) minus 3 places, ahhhhhh. I did what I wanted to do, get some experience and finish. I was hoping to be quicker but hey ho.
            MAD weekend!!!

                Well down Steve,

I guess you can see benefits of having a team around you as it allows you to concentrate on driving and not worrying about the other shite that goes on in getting you there.

It will all come good, just need to really get grid places on qualifying to give you a chance

cheers and yes Shimmy, you need good guys around you ! Phil did a cracking job and we got help from some good guys there!
Also true about grid position but I was happy not being middle pack! my instructor did the middle race and got ten from last position on the grid, he said he could have done better but didnt want to take any risks! so the car has it just not me, yet :hahaha:
