The subject of discount set of tyres may come up and the tyre stickers definitely will do. I just dont want it to be about or think it should be about them giving us something, but them joining in with the trip.

I failed msierably getting the stickers from Michelin UK but then at Snetterton i bumped into Protyre (Michelin Motorsport Uk tyre suppliers) and they had a bag full and gave me 8.

Sponsorship is not just about money or goods in lieu of, it's more about having the participation of Big Name 3rd parties in the event. :supz:
Prestige, kudos, call it what you will, their involvement adds to and attracts others to the event, which all makes for good PR on behalf of the Register.
Castrol and Shell, as we all use it, are the next ones to set our sights on.
Then there's BBS as we won't be getting there without their wheels, AP as most of us wouldn't be stopping without them, and so on.:whistle:

So had a call while in Cologne today from Irina at Michelin.FR.

She is organising one or two days of filming of our trip as well as bringing along a new M6.

I've told her about our BMw Welt photoshoot on the Sunday, MStudio trip on Monday and The Great Escape out to Salzburg on Monday night. They even might be joining in and filming at the Salzburgring.

There is one catch.....she wants a CSL owner to be he main focus for filming and interviews. She will send across a description of the type of person so we can all choose the best match but she has said it should be someone who is knowledgable about all BMW M cars (rules out me and Dunc), be able talk clearly and fluently (rules out ABSOLUTELY ALL northerners) and finally not to be a gayer (rules out nearly everybody else)

I'll post up the description when I get it but please start thinking and volunteering . :-D

Oh to have an accent, then perhaps I too could drive about in a brand new Ferrari :thumbs:I'll just have to be content with being tall, dark and extremely handsome :supz: which is the preferred option with gloves or without? :hahaha:
