What is wrong with me ???

I am sitting here on the eve of my 40's !

And I feel excited like a kid on Xmas Eve !!!!!!

Am chilled with an overriding sense of calm, necking a couple of cold Tiger beers, ready to embrace my next decade.....am I deluded ? Does life really begin now ?

Shimmy, Bounce and all you other old feckers......what's it like on the other side? Don't shatter the illusion :-D

Someone I work with, a couple of years younger than me, passed away yesterday, in a car crash. It's hit me for six. I get too tied up with work shit all the time and think I should maybe take a bit more out of that saying, where's those beers and when we going to Germany artyman:
It just takes longer to recover when you turn 40

You always feel young mid twenties I'd say, until you look in the mirror and some middle aged man looks back. :119:
Life begins at forty is a complete fallacy, what begins is the rest of your life and it's downhill from there on.
Metabolism slows down, you'll know when it's happening involuntary grunts, groans and puffs when you get out of bed.
This is pure speculation and hearsay on my part, as I'm yet to reach such exalted heights.

PS: Happy Birthday 'Yanto' remember in moderation from now on.artyman:

Cheers all, had a cracking day yesterday.

If anyone is down in LDN and wants a good traditional english restaurant, I recommend:

Rules was established by Thomas Rule in 1798 making it the oldest restaurant in London. It serves traditional British food, specialising in classic game.

                              DONT EAT BREAKFAST
