Car is going into Elms on Saturday for the 1200 oil change (after the engine rebuild), which will finally enable me to go "yeehaaaaaaaaa" in it :hahaha:.

While it's in, I'm getting then to do a few other jobs:
    1. Repaint the mirrors (the lacquer has flaked a bit underneath them, and I'm a fussy bastard). They are staying black though :blalalala:.
    2. Fitting of the Turner rear limiter kit and new bushes.
    3. Doing the KDS to more track orientated settings and setting the ride height to what Simpson Motorsport recommend.
    4. Which should then allow the spacers to fit .

Sadly, means I will have to wait a week before I get it back .

        The car has gone .

To Elms artyman:. Long list of little things to do:
Set the ride height to Simpson's recommendations.
        Fit the wheel spacers.
Set the geo to more track orientated set up.
Change the brake fluid to my preferred Castrol SRF.
        Fit the Supersprint back box.
Repaint the mirrors (lacquer is pealing off the underneath).
        Carry out oil service.
Check out the juddering in S6.

I'm already missing it, but can't wait to get it back.

The car is now back from Elms and in rude health. The clutch juddering in S6 was sorted by a reset and loading the latest software.

The spacers are now on the car, the geometry is set as aggressively as it can be with the standard kit, the ride height is set as per Simpsons recommendations (my drive is cambered, so the gap on the driver's side isn't how its on flat ground) and it has some better front down force .

I appreciate it is sacralidge to modify the looks of a CSL, but I think it looks okay .

What you can't see is that the Supersprint back box has now been fitted. Fuck me is it loud, I SAID, FUCK ME IS IT LOUD :119:  !

The good thing is the rasp has gone, but it's been replaced with a boominess that doesn't go until you're above 85 (hopefully that will be accepted as a valid excuse LOL). Not sure how long I will last before fitting the standard one back. However, on full chat it sounds amazing from outside the car (I got my mate to drive it while I was in his car, just so I could hear it  ). It howls like an old F1 car and spits and cackles on the over-run. But it is a HUGE weight saving, the standard exhaust must be nearly twice the weight .

Huge thanks to Gareth and Emma for looking after me .

If there was motor industry award for exemplary service, these two would be at the top.

Suggestions on how we get them recognised?

Vorsteiner . Thanks to Neil who spotted it on eBay at the beginning of March (where I bought it before I'd even got a CSL :hahaha: ).

                    Interesting and comparatively cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271163809546&category=72208&emailtemplateid=55857657&sellerid=RiQT1QfV9O1G7bHxEc2UAQ==&buyerid=zTpVD1PmK5KdQDDgtfCkrg==&refid=store&ssPageName=ADME:B:SEMK:UK:LISTG

I'm not a fan of a/m stuff automatically but it's a decent looking alternative and def something BMW could have done

+1  This is one of the better after market offerings I've seen for Cecil. I wonder if it actually works aerodynamically though ?

Mike, good job you know them at snetterton as db test might be close. The splitter looks good. I bet it was a bitch to fit.

One of my better spots! If what I've read recently in the vault is correct, this may be the path that we will have to follow :smokin:

Correction: Sorry chaps, E46 'CF' products have been deleted by Vorsteiner, looks like Mike bagged himself a bargain (£442.74) and now collectors item!

What is this vault you speak of?

If it is the new room, I supposed you'd better hook me up with a password .
