    Cups @ Camskill

    Members - Camskill for Cups

You may or may not have noticed but there is a recent absence of ‘Cups’ on the shelves of many suppliers. Particularly fronts a few choice words with Brian at Camskill has resolved the issues.

It would appear that availability has been restricted to a chosen few, by Michelin - wonder why?
Could it possibly be due to the forthcoming event, coincidence perhaps but worth mentioning the ‘Register’ when you order.

I previously ordered on the last Camskill thread but unfortunately missed out due to availability, if you want them grab them while their stocks last.

Michelin Tyres / Car / Michelin Pilot Sport Cup - 235/35 R19 (87Y) TL Price £241.10 inc Vat
Michelin Tyres / Car / Michelin Pilot Sport Cup - 265/30 R19 (89Y) TL Price £322.66 inc Vat

And a nice little bonus courtesy of Michelin for the trip:
Michelin Tyres Free Fuel Gift Card Promotion* worth £50 when you buy 2 or more tyres*

Perhaps this thread will go down better than its infamous predecessors:thumbs:

Even though my conti's still have a few mm left I'm seriously thinking of getting a set of these infamous tyres :smokin:

Purely out of interest and knowing they only come with 5mm (?) of tread new, how many miles do you get on average from them? I'd probably only do one track session on them.....maybe not. Fast road use lets say :hahaha:

I already have a set of Cups with about 3mm. of tread left, on a set of CSL track wheels which should be good for another 8/12 months of road use.
But it's all relative, so difficult to determine how long they last as the car isn't a daily.
However at the Camskill price it would be foolish not to buy another set, if only to store.

Thanks Neil, I've already convinced myself! I just had memories of super sticky yoko's on my mk1 escort Mexico that wore down even standing still :hahaha:

I'm just waiting on payment for a kitchen refit I've just done (funny how landlords disappear when it's time to pay up :moan then I will go for it so I can have the full CSL experience

Ha, ha the consistency of the Cups is more Licorice than treacle :hahaha:
When new, you were asked to sign a disclaimer by BMW if the optional 'Cups' were fitted, hence their popularity when CSL'ing. It's the only way to go:thumbs:

Good luck with the outstanding invoice, it's not just landlords.

if you have not driven your csl with cups on then you are missing out, the feeling of the car totally changes, the steering is more precise, and the grip wel thats just :smokin:
