    997 gt3 rs prices

    Gents and csl girl

Is there any particular reason why gt3 rs prices are stratospheric at the moment....12 months ago viper green examples were circa 90-100K.
    2014 they're 150K plus? :banghead:

And people thought the guy who paid 100k back then for the green car was nuts. He must be laughing now. Personally I think the porker prices are crazy, 350k for the 4.0l version, 220k for a 964RS. Be interesting to see how long it takes for the bubble to burst.

911s have a certain aura/history/status, call it what you like, especially the gt/RS versions. A friends wife wants one & I doubt she has ever got her M3 over 4000rpm. She bought the M3 because of its name, the same with the 911.

Limited numbers of gt/RS versions, reputation, sellers trying their luck and stupid buyers jumping on the band wagon. Someone near me has just sold his 4.0 RS to buy the new gt PDF version & put money in the bank.

M cars will never hit silly prices as they have a bit of boy racer reputation.

Everything said above, coupled with the fact that the 991 GT3 had the 'issues' it had when first delivered. I believe they have resoloved that problem now but back when it was first announced, a lot of the people who had paid their money already decided to take the money back and go after a 997 version instead, increasing the demand, and therefore the value. Of course, there are plenty of purists who also lust after the last 911 with a Mezger engine and a manual box , just look at the values of 993 turbos (last air cooled 911's).

Well if everyone added a extra £10k onto the CSL when selling it people would have to pay those prices. We control the market and the buyer would have to increase there budget.

None may sell as quick but they will in the end.

As long as someone is not desperate to sell, gives in & lowers the price.

The more something seems out of reach the more people want it. Yes, let's keep the prices high.

Note, I have no intension of selling. Might think twice if they reach 80k

If you are on the original brakes you should be asking for lots more as it can't have been used.
