Plastics / CF covered under mirror warranty repair?

My car is sitting on the fully comprehensive Mondial monthly warranty. £100 excess.

Recently my mirror started to leak on a particularly hot day and the liquid in it has dripped down onto the center console.

The SMG / window switch surround are both marked and it appears that the liquid from the mirror has also splashed onto the CF center section.

Mondial have said that the mirror is covered, but the plastics / CF do not count as consequential damage created by a failed part. This surprises me...

What have people got covered in previous claims?

I'm sure some have had the plastics / CF covered, but wanted to double check...

I've had mirror replaced under warranty.

I think the goodwill for the rest disappeared once car approx 5-6 years old.

However, if the fault from a warrantied part cause damage to a non-warrantied part, it's worth kicking up a stink IMO.

"the plastics / CF do not count as consequential damage created by a failed part"

Standard. ie. if you accept the alternative, where do you stop ?

You need to create more of a stink than it it's worth defending.

Quick update on this - it seems as though the original advice on warranty cover was not strictly true. Consequential damage is not covered.

So, mirror replaced under warranty, trim not. I was quoted a little over £200 to have the plastics replaced but opted to fit them myself, parts were circa ~£90.

When I picked up the car the dealer tech had fitted them for me.
