I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on whether there are still any genuine E46 M3 CSLs out there at the less desirable end of the market.
I'm not looking for a low-mileage, immaculate collector's car commanding premium money. I'm more interested in whether high-mileage examples, ex-track cars, tired cars or those needing mechanical or cosmetic work still exist and occasionally become available.
I'm a long-time car enthusiast and enjoy bringing older performance cars back to life, so mileage, wear and a list of jobs wouldn't necessarily put me off.
In the past I've had 2 such examples that needed lots of love, but wondered if that price point has gone for good.
Have these sorts of cars all been restored, broken for parts or absorbed into collections, or are there still a few floating around?
I'd be genuinely interested to hear from long-standing owners who remember when higher-mileage and track-used CSLs were more common.
And, of course, if anyone knows of such a car that might be available, I'd love to hear about it.
