Hi thanks for the heads up, I have purchased brand new carbon splitters.
And the chap who's doing the work used to work for BMW.
IIRC the new CF splitters come without any lacquer on them these days :banghead: so there will be more work required to get them to the OE finish.
If I were you I'd (as others have already said) get Mark CSL to refurbish your original one and get a refund for the ones you've just purchased.
Below are a couple of pix of one of my rare original MK1 flippers before & after refurbishment by Mark :smokin: Highly recommended
I'm not sure whether Cosworth50 has had the pleasure of ownership of a CSL or indeed the day in day out of running and maintaining one.
Hi gents,
Just to be clear I really do hope the car sells and that the new owner is happy and that the seller gets what he wants for it. I'm a car fan and want everyone to enjoy their cars, especially on sunny days like today.
We all have our opinions, mine are often wrong and I'm not afraid to admit it. Someone may pay £50k for this car as it has had a new engine and, by the sounds of it, will look mint when restored.
Personally for me I would prefer one with lower miles and an original engine and one that had original paint BUT I may be in the minority. We are all different and that's what makes the world go round.
Do you mean the trim such as steering wheel and dash trims or seat backs and rear console?
I think he's referring to those areas painted in Titanium Silver, however if I remember correctly 'Shimmy' had his steering wheel repainted by colour matching the existing, no BMW paint code.
'NZ_M3' would probably know the BMW codes for the Titanium paint and the 'Plasti-Dip' type paint also.
