Was great to meet a few of you guys! Had a great trip, managed to have loads of fun - got plenty of fast and plenty of fun laps in too! Managed to get the heavy girl round in 8:02BTG on the GPS which was lovely, so now begins the slippery slope of turning this car nearly into a CSL. Argh.

I've only found 2 pictures so far of the car not sideways though - guess a boring M3 just blends in the background!

Seriously impressive stuff Al! Were you just getting it sideways under power or braking or did you have to resort to clutch?

Hehe, cheers. No clutch - the dual mass doesn't appreciate a clutch kick, or at least, I'm not prepared to risk it. Just go in at one billion miles an hour and give it a stern flick.

I did manage to film an 8:18 lap here -

You can see how violently you have to throw it! Just fastforward to AdenaurForst, Wehrseifen and Steilstreke and Brunnchen.

Impressive stuff mate, I've seen many try it, not as many succeed.

Did you have much in the way of Rubber left to get you home? ;-)

Respect. I wouldn't even attempt anything like that in the dry on Ring. Just going (relatively) fast is enough for me. Like your style.
