It was hot (much different to the UK rain!)

Not a happy day for these two )-:

A long walk back to the car, Dave and Stefan didn't know they were going on an extreme walking holiday!

The Steilstrecke, translated it means steep track, at 27% gradient, we weren't in disagreement!!

      Phew! Finally at the top.

Back at the guest house we had been joined by the Porsche Club of Russia.

        Quite a trip.

Do you think I spoiled their party ;-)

Arizona plated 911, long way from home!

Fully restored big Merc - 6.9 litre 450SEL. Stefan's father had a similar one back in the 1970s, so it brought back a few memories

Evening public session allowed us a chance to drive the VLN layout (ie the Nordschleife and Grand Prix Circuit), so it was a bit busy, the track opened late and I only managed one lap, must do it again sometime

Another one of those Volvo 240 Turbos

It rained overnight, so it was a slow start to Sunday, we headed up to ring°werk to take in a bit of Nurburgring history.

This is the latest truck racing simulator

The only difference between men and boys is the size of their toys - Not in Stefan's case!

A quick payment of homage to the E46 M3 GTR

          Not forgetting the E36 version

          Opel's 24 Hour winner from 2003

          Audi TT

Monday morning, a day trip to Stuttgart to visit the Porsche museum, it is around 190 miles from Nurburg and the route is mainly autobahn. I have been here previously, but as Stefan is a 911 owner I figured it would be rude not to! I must say, I never tire of walking round this museum.

Built at an estimated cost of 100 million euros, this impressive facility opened in January 2009.

Lots of interesting stuff in here, right from the beginning of Porsche's history

                Evolution of the steering wheel...

Not forgetting the evolution of wheels

924 GTP Le Mans, this car was driven at Le Mans in 1981 by Jürgen Barth and Walter Röhrl, intended only as a test, the car won it's class and finished 7th overall. This was also the beginning of the 944 model.
