subframe and 12 year Anti corrosion warranty

    just had a thought

for cars built after 1/1/04 surely the cracks to the boot floor will be covered to 12 years from purchase so 2016+ irrespective of goodwill

dya think bmw will class this as corrosion?

I think yes Shim. The cause is corroded spot welds, so no reason why not.

Had mine checked on Friday, no cracks and still goes like a stabbed rat, judging by my exhaustive bank holiday weekend testing :supz:

Where do you take it mate?
I can't see why 80% of e46's won't be affected with the design and placement of welds and bushes.
