What did you buy for your E36 this week?

And indeed, as expected, on the second half shaft I got the outer balls seated on the first try. Amazing what difference a little practice can make.

Just realized this thread is what did you buy for your E36, not what did you do to it. So, today I ordered some CV boot hose clamps on Amazon, because like almost everyone I couldn't get the clamp included in the rebuild kit over the outer CV boot. I did the full rebuild job, inner and outer, using the thread on bimmerforums, where you de-crimp the backing plate on the outers to full disassemble it. Man, that job sucked! I spent like 3-4 hours last night sitting there trying to get a feel for re-installing the ball bearings on the outers. Finally got it this morning. One down, second should be much faster. Came out good though, I sanded and primed/painted the shafts with Chassis Black, nice having fresh and clean axles.Originally posted by Big Nodge View PostI am in the middle of pretty much a full refresh of my '98 M3. Damn...bought a new 3/8" drill bit.
Key barrel spinning in the bracket and then the steering(with lock tension) lock pin was jammed.
Not good.
luckily it was the 328, and not the M3.

You'll love the 3.64.
I used one with aggressive ramps in my e30 s52/320z swap.
New cowl trim for mine on the 'morrow.

New brake light switch this am.(over ten years of procastination)
That should inspire some other dash advisory to light up.
oh, btw, will the diff tolerate 75/140 castrol?

The 328 coupe gets new window slider clips and door card pins.
It also gets new tie rods on wed.
The M3 gets a door striker/switch.
