I bought a 94' 325i sight unseen, and my expectations were not met...

...they were FAR EXCEEDED. It was a one owner with 238k mi, a clean and rust free example that spent most of its life in AZ. It drives like it has 38k on it, and the engine bay is clean enough to eat off of. I drove it 4k mi back home in about a weeks time and it didn't even sweat it. Not ONE drop of oil burnt/lost, I was blown away. The previous owner took exemplary care of it and I feel incredibly lucky to have acquired it. I'm not one to usually make public posts like this but I felt compelled to share a likely rare story to fellow enthusiasts.

    Bonus fun E36 related facts:
    • has almost all jack pads (3 out of 4)
    • no missing tools
    • no missing display pixels (ODO goes in and out tho)
    • factory med kit still wrapped in plastic in trunk?!
    • of course the ps lines leak

The goal was to turn it into a track car, which I will still do but now with a lot more reluctance ha.

What part of Arizona? I’ve done a cross country trip from the Southwest twice (Salt Lake City to Raleigh and Las Vegas to Raleigh) and always enjoyed passing through Arizona. The Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Sedona are to die for.

Traveled across Interstate 10 and took a detour up towards the Gila National Forest for some twisties, it was an incredible drive. If I ever make it back to the area I will try to hit all or most of those spots you mentioned.

Thanks, for once I got lucky with this specimen. I've put 15k on it in the past 6 months and it hasn't skipped a beat.
