Need quick install help

Hey, My friends and I are installing a short shift kit by AA I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on how to get around the drive shaft to get to the clip holding the shifter to the shift rod. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

its not the easiest thing to accomplish but it is possible... if you take a long bladed flathead screwdriver you can pop it up and off. I happend to be changing tranny mounts the same time I installed mine so I had a little extra room, so you may want to loosen your tranny mounts...
