I think that your graph is going to be insanely boring.
You are going to have a piecewise linear function pretty much (correct me if I'm wrong).
In other words...for 95-99 you'll have a slight maybe 1-3% increase in price per year...no data for 2000...then 2001 has a big 10k jump or so...then it will increase by like 1-3% per year.
That doesn't even include option stuff...which varies a lot.
It is much easier to make M3's more expensive these days with more elaborate transmissions and Nav systems.
So you are going to want to think about how that affects the "average" price you know?
lol, i just want the base price for each year. it doesnt matter if its "boring", i just want to get it done with so i can start worrying about the 6 other reports i have due by may 16th.
I would try calling a few dealerships. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a sales guy that has been around for a while and can remember that stuff.
Astan100 is right, I don't think the price changed much if at all between 95 and 99. It was around $40K. There was no production in 2000 and then in 2001 the price went up to $45K. I just checked BMWUSA.com and the current base price for the coupe is $47,195.
