Ground Control Susp Clunking - anyone else?

I purchased a sweeet 95 m3 last February that came with a Ground Control Suspension Kit, consisting of Eibach Springs and anti-roll bars, Konis, and camber plates. I notice that there is some clunking from the front end, especially at low speeds over rough pavement. I've had two qualified BMW techs check thru all the control arms and bushings and everything looks okay.

Is what I'm hearing normal? Is it maybe the springs fully unloading due to the stiffer anti-roll bars?

    Thanks!

Could be ... I have GC suspension as well and sometimes when I turn into a driveway or something my rear springs "clunk" when the short spring moves on the perch.

Its probably just the bearings in the camber plates have some play in them.

You will soon learn to ignore the GC clunks.

Just on an off chance hunch, see if it clunks while the brakes are applied. Possibly a loose brake pad with no anti rattle spring. (At least on a VW)

Yeah, old sway bar links are a pretty common cause of clunks (new ones got rid of my clunking). Also, w/ GC make sure the spring adjustment rings are tightened down (I've heard if they are loose you can get some noise). They can be tightened w/ a 3/16" allen key.

I have the Ground Control Suspension Kit on my 87 MR2 and that clunking sound is normal. You see, when you drive over bumps or something that lightens the load on the coil it tends to move around a bit. That is the clunking sound. The only way to stop the sound is to add helper springs to hold the regular springs in place when the load is lifted. Give Ground Control a call and see if they offer helper springs.

                That should do the trick.
